ClickBank is one of the most powerful affiliate marketing networks on the internet. This is a step by step introduction into how to sign up with ClickBank and choose a high converting product to promote.
Step 1 - Sign up for ClickBank
To work from the internet using ClickBank, go to the ClickBank.com site and click on "sign up" which you will find at the top of the home page. You will be navigated to a form that you will have to complete. This is simply to get some personal contact information and also to choose an "account nickname" which is 5 to 10 characters consisting of letters and digits of your choice. This account nickname will be used to track your commissions on sales that you make. Go ahead and complete the form and then read through the terms and conditions, indicate your acceptance of the terms where required and then click "submit". You will be told that a sign up confirmation code has been e-mailed to you and you need to go to your e-mail inbox and click on the link indicated in the e-mail from ClickBank.
Next, you will be navigated to a page where you are required to paste the confirmation code that was e-mailed to you into the space provided and also confirm a visual text code which is shown just under the second box on the page. Click on "finished" and you will be informed that the sign up process is complete and you will be given your account nickname as well as your account password which you will need to make a note of and keep in a safe place. One way of doing this is to open a Notepad session, copy and paste the nickname and password to it and then save the notepad session as "ClickBank access codes" or something similar. With the sign up process complete you are ready to work from the internet using ClickBank. You can now "log in" to your account by clicking on "log in" which you will find at the top of the page you are on.
Once logged in you will be required to enter your account nickname and password (saved to a Notebook session) and click on "log in". You will then be logged into your account and, on the front page, you will see all your stats regarding sales made. Next, select "account settings" and you can edit any information previously entered. You can also select a suitable payment threshold (meaning that payouts will be made only once your account shows an amount of commission earned equal to or higher than the threshold selected). Initially, you will only have the option of payment by check. Once you have been a member for some time and established a sales record, you will have the option of choosing to be paid via electronic funds transfer.
If you make any changes to account settings click on "save changes" to update your account. Next, click on the "reporting" option where you can view details of any sales you have made, any payments made to you and other statistics regarding your activities. At this point you will be ready to start promoting products.
Step 2 - Finding High Converting Products To Promote
One of the biggest requirements for successful affiliate marketing when you work from the internet is to find products that are popular and selling well already. ClickBank helps in this process. Click on "marketplace" which is also on the top of the page and you will be navigated to a search tool with which you can search products by "popularity" which means that for any given category and sub category you choose, you will see a list of the best converting products available at that time. You can further refine your search by specifying keywords, type of product and language so you really can be pretty specific.
By choosing the top product on the list, you know that you will be promoting a popular product which is already selling more than any other product in the category. Under each product you will see a couple choices - view pitch page/create hoplink/vendor spotlight. Click on "view pitch page" and have a look at the sales page. Make sure it has good graphics and that it looks convincing (there shouldn't be a problem because you are dealing with a proven seller). The next screen will show your affiliate link. This is a unique information code that, when a buyer clicks on it, informs ClickBank that the product you are promoting has been sold by you and that you are to receive commission on the sale. As with the nickname and password, you need to copy the link and paste it to a Notepad session which you can save as the name of the product you are promoting. You now have a high converting product to promote as you work from the internet.
